Telgte, 15 September 2026. In the second quarter of the 2026/27 financial year, Takko Fashion achieved the highest quarterly revenue in its history. Revenue rose by 10.8% to EUR 381 million, whilst adjusted EBITDA pre-IFRS 16 increased by 12% to a new record high of EUR 86.4 million.
This positive performance was driven by strong like-for-like sales growth of 7.2% in the second quarter. All product categories contributed to this growth while the women’s and children’s fashion segments performed particularly well, with double-digit growth rates. At the same time, Takko Fashion gained further market share in its home market Germany and performed strongly in numerous European markets.
The strong performance in the second quarter continues the positive business development of recent months and confirms Takko Fashion’s profitable growth trajectory. Accordingly, the first half of the financial year was also very successful. Revenue rose by 7.1% to EUR 676 million in the first six months of the financial year. At the same time, adjusted EBITDA pre-IFRS 16 increased by 15.5% to EUR 119.4 million. The adjusted EBITDA margin pre-IFRS 16 improved to 17.7%, 1.3 percentage points higher than the previous year’s level.
Martino Pessina, CEO of Takko Fashion: “Our record results in the second quarter reflect the successful implementation of our SHINE 2028 strategy. We are investing in making Takko’s proposition even stronger: an attractive product range, improved accessibility, a compelling shopping experience, as well as digital customer loyalty. By continuously innovating our collections and strategically expanding our store network, we are sharpening our positioning as a quality fashion discounter, making a tangible difference to our customers.”
Tobias Merz, Interim CFO of Takko Fashion: “The results for the first half of the year demonstrate the high quality of our growth. We strengthened our price leadership, achieved a significant volume increase and strong growth in gross profit. Thus, we increased our adjusted EBITDA by 15.5% and improved the EBITDA margin to 17.7%. The fact that we have achieved this whilst making targeted investments in line with our SHINE strategy underlines the scalability of our business model and our consistent cost management. The successful business performance has also enabled us to further improve our liquidity position and create financial flexibility to consistently pursue our growth strategy.”
Expansion remains a key growth driver
Takko Fashion is consistently proceeding with its ambitious expansion strategy. In the first half of the financial year, the company opened a total of 59 new stores and modernised a further 59 locations to the new store design. Furthermore, Takko Fashion reached a special milestone in July with the opening of its 2,000th store. The new opening in Essen city centre underlines the expansion strategy of the quality fashion discounter, which is continuing to expand its presence in retail parks, shopping centres and city centres alike.
Investments strengthen the brand and customer experience
Alongside its expansion, Takko Fashion is consistently investing in the further development of its brand and customer experience. Together with Michelle Hunziker, the company is launching one of the most eyecatching campaigns in its history for the current autumn/winter season. In the campaign, the well-known entertainer, moderator and entrepreneur showcases her six favourite looks from the Takko collection. Thus, the campaign highlights Takko Fashion’s commitment to combining on-trend fashion, quality and attractive prices. Together with investments in its product range, store modernisations and digital customer loyalty, the quality fashion discounter is thus further enhancing its appeal to both existing and new customer groups.
