The mission "We empower kids!" is the programme of the cooperation between the organisation skate-aid and the fashion retailer Takko Fashion: children between the ages of ten and 14 have the opportunity to take part in a kids' design contest and give free rein to their creativity in a picture based on the motto "skate-aid empowers kids!". The winner will be invited to an exclusive design workshop at the Takko Fashion headquarters of the Europe-wide fashion company and will be able to watch the fashion and graphic designers create the skate-aid x Takko Fashion capsule collection. In addition, the winner will receive a cash prize and their own skate-aid skateboard. In addition, ten Takko Fashion vouchers worth 100 euros each will be raffled off among all participating kids.
"With skate-aid, we have been supporting social skate park projects for disadvantaged children and young people worldwide since 2009. Especially in areas where there are social injustices and difficult living conditions," says Maik Giersch, CSO of skate-aid. "We are very happy that we could win Takko Fashion for our mission 'We empower kids!' and do things together with the capsule collection - for a good cause." With every sale of a garment from the collection, a part of the proceeds goes directly to skate-aid and supports their projects worldwide.
The exclusive skate-aid x Takko fashion collection for kids and teens will be available from February 2023 in all stores across Germany as well as in the online shop and includes T-shirts and longsleeves as well as branded socks, caps and hoodies.
Until 14 July 2022, kids between the ages of ten and 14 can send their self-designed picture on the motto "skate-aid empowers kids"!" as a photo or scan (pdf, jpg, png file) to skate-aid(at)takko.de and take part in the design contest.
