With Tjeerd Jegen, the German fashion company brings an experienced CEO with years of expertise in global retail to its management team. Born in the Netherlands, Jegen has worked as a managing director in companies in Europe, Asia and Australia over the past 15 years.
"We are very pleased that we have been able to win such an experienced CEO as Tjeerd Jegen for Takko Fashion," says Executive Chairman Karl-Heinz
Holland. "In his professional career to date, he has repeatedly demonstrated particular innovative strength and leadership. His passion is absolute customer orientation. I am therefore convinced that Tjeerd Jegen is an ideal fit for the company and will continue to drive the company's growth together with the entire Takko Fashion management team."
Tjeerd Jegen has previously headed the British supermarket chain Tesco as COO in Thailand and CEO in Malaysia. He also led the Australian supermarket chain Woolworths for over five years. Most recently, the 50-year-old was CEO of HEMA, a department store chain that offers a wide range of products including clothing for the family. In this position, Tjeerd Jegen built HEMA into the leading Dutch value retailer and was instrumental in expanding the company's international presence.
"I am convinced of Takko Fashion's successful value for money business model and absolutely enthusiastic about the Takko team, which has mastered the past challenges including Covid extremely well. I look forward to continuing to successfully shape the company together with the entire team in the future," says Tjeerd Jegen.
In addition to Tjeerd Jegen, Kurt Rosen, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Thomas Füllhaas, Chief Operations Officer (COO), and Sebastian Weber, Chief Product Officer (CPO), form the Takko Fashion Executive Management Board. Karl-Heinz Holland will continue to head the Management Board as Executive Chairman until the handover to Tjeerd Jegen on the 1st of May and will then concentrate on his role as Chairman of the Takko Fashion Advisory Board.
